| i need help 911 Hello. This Is My First Post. Well,my Name Is Erika And I Have A Yorkie Name Bobby He's About 6 Months. He Was Very Healthy And Happy But Since Last Wednesday He's Been Vomiting. He Has No Energy At All Basically Sleeping All Day The Only Time He Gets Up Is When He Vomits. I Took Him To The Vet They Did Blood Test, Urine Test, Also A Parvo Test Which Came Negative. All The Test That Were Done Seem To Be Normal. They Also Did A Ultrasound Today And There Was Nothign Abnormal It's Been Three Days Since He Started To Vomit And I Don't See Any Improvement He's Not Eating Or Drinking Water. He's On The Iv With Medication Basically All Day Long. There Has Been About Four Vets That Have Seen Him And No One Can Come Up With What Is Causing Him To Vomit. Today I Was Told That The Next Step Might Be To Refer Him To Ucdavis. I Wanted To Ask Anyone That If They Have Heard Of Anything Similar Please Let Me Know I'm Very Desperate I Do Not Want To Put Bobby To Sleep But At This Point Everything Is Pointing That Direction. Thank You So Much.! |

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | You cannot just give up on him and consider putting to sleep ! He's a baby! He may have a virus and it just has to take its course. Maybe he ate something and it's getting out of his system. Is he home with you?

| oh! The poor baby. That must be hard for you watching all that and not being able to help at all. I have not had any experience with this myself but if it were me, I would go into the search and type in "vomit" and see what comes up. Actually, I did do that and a bunch of sites come up! Maybe someone has posted something similar to what you are going thru and it will help. I hope so anyways. Keep us posted and hope he's feeling better soon. Theresa |

| Poor baby and poor you Are you still feeding him his regular food? His tummy probably needs a break and you could try feeding him this: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58036 It saved my baby's life and it's nice and mild and gentle, and easy on the digestive tract. Whatever you do, don't be trying to feed him different things to entice him to eat, as that can make the problem worse. I'm glad that the ultrasound didn't show a blockage, I lost my Starr to that Please hang in there and just try to keep him warm and try the baby food

| I have a 2.5 pounder that has vomited all of her life for no reason. (She is 6 yrs now) Many vets and tests and no medical reason for it. She even stops eating and I have to feed her baby food. The vets say that she has a nervous stomach. The main thing to the vomiting is to not let them get dehydrated. I keep Pedialyte here all of the time. I hope this helps. I’ll keep your baby in my prayer.

| So if he's on IV I take it he's in a hospital? Don't worry too much, I know it's hard to watch them when their sick...But don't give up...They shouldn't let him go home until he's able to eat and keep it down. And yes, if they don't find out what's wrong, take him elsewhere...It could be any of many things, but my first thought was an obstruction...they've ruled that out, right? I will be thinking of you and your little boy, my prayers go out to you...be strong for your baby!!!
