Brea's leg still looks like that... it looks so silly. It reminds how tiny she really is though, seeing that leg without all the hair!

I'm glad Tink is OK and eating (and pooping :rolleyes: ) those are good things! Before I got my little ones, I never would have spent so much money on a dog. I just plain old wouldn't have. There is just something about these little furbutts, isn't there?? My brother told me to have Brea "put down" cause the surgery was so expensive. :eek: :eek: :eek: Ummmmm, I don't think so. :thumbdown

Give Tink a hug from omega's gang, ok?? :)

Great pictures of Tink, her incision and bill. Charlie is having dental surgery in July and my bill will probably be around $1,000 and last Saturday's initial visit was $352. What else would we do with $$? I know Tink will feel so much better since the surgery, and Charlie will no longer have pain in his mouth.

So glad Tink is home and the worry of being separated is over. Glad she is on pain meds because the incision reminds me of my hip replacement. Ouch!

Glad to hear Tink is doing well. I must apologize, i updated on my puppy this morning and at the end i reminded everyone of all the other surgeries this week and to continue to pray for those, but I left out Tink, i'm so sorry, i tried to remember everyone. I will continue to pray for your precious little Tink and a speedy recovery!

Tink is having some troubles .
 
I had to take her in to the hospital this morning. When she got up, I let her out to tinkle and when she came back in she wasn't putting any weight on the leg. I checked it and it was ice cold.:eek: At first I thought is was just because she didn't have any hair on it but it was much much colder than yesterday when I mentioned it on another thread.

I called the hospital and they said if it was that cold, I should bring her in. The surgeon thought there was a blood clot and did an ultrasound. Yep! So they put her under and got it out. I get to pick her up at 8:00.:)

My poor baby. I haven't asked him yet why that happened. I'm sure sometimes odd things just occur for no good reason. Anyway, I talked to the nurse at 5:00 and she said Tink as doing fine and they were going to walk her a little at 5:30 and try to get her to eat something. But guess what? No extra charge. :rolleyes:

Poor Tink, I'm sorry she had to go thru another procedure. I know it's pretty common in people after surgery to get blood clots, I would think it would be the same for dogs. But they caught it early, and hopefully it will be smooth sailing now. Recupe quickly little Tink, you're in my prayers!!!

OMG Susie that was a scare. So glad you thought to bring her back. And good they didn't charge you :) I am in tears thinking what could hve been.:cry8: :getwellso Tinker Beauty.

aw i'm so sorry Tink had to go back into surgery. Sometimes its hard to figure out why they have the odd complication and it probably was nobody's fault. its a good thing you caught it so soon, so it probably won't affect her at all.

good luck and give her extra smooches for me when you get her home!

Tink is lucky her mommy was on top of things. Poor baby, having to go through that again. Hope she's home and healing soon.

She looks just fine. I can't tell unless I look very closely that there is another incision next to the larger one. And she's quite active. She was hoping all over the house so I put her on the new leash I bought her and tied it to my leg so I could post - she just ate through it. Good thing it was a cheap one from WalMart! Good night Irene! This furkid is unstappable!:eek:

Her leg is nice and warm. She's not putting as much weight on it as she did yesterday, but I'm not surprised. She's not crabby and wants to chase a ball so badly. Fat chance!:p

I hope not to post on this thread again except to say thanks for all the encouragement, thoughts and prayers. THANK YOU ALL! Especially kalina82 who offered lots of encouragement on PMs.:)

glad to hear she is doing so well after her second surgery. she is going to be a handful LOL i can't believe she ate thru the leash :rolleyes:

Wow, sure is a good thing you were on top of things and noticed! :thumbup: With what they charged the first time, they better not have charged you the second time!!! I might of had to come over there.... :rolleyes:

Sounds like the little trooper is doing great - what a relief. I can't believe you put a leash on your leg! Doesn't she pull? I wouldn't be able to walk if I did that with any of mine. :eek: So, she ate through the leash while you were on YT??? You must have been pretty engrossed to not notice her chewing it! :yelrotflm What a dog. You sure do have a special one there.:D One more question, did you go out shopping this time, too?? :)

Poor Tink -- and poor you. Man, these little guys can give us heart attacks.

So glad to hear she is doing better now and that they didn't charge you anything more. (I think the first bill was quite enough ;) Also sounds like you may need the extra money to keep Tink in leashes!)

Prayers and happy thoughts for a continued speedy recovery.
