| Tink is having her surgery tomorrow morning. My little furgirl is having her FHO in the morning. I have really mixed feelings about it. I know she needs to have it done but it just seems so cruel to put her through all that. I wish God would just heal her. Sigh! My vet and the surgeon are both very optomistic that in a few months we won't even be able to tell she has hip dysplasia. My vet friend Deb is out of town on a cruise and I can't reach her to make myself feel better. Sniff! I've really got the "poor me" feelings today. If you have time, please say a prayer for her tonight and tomorrow that all will go well with the surgery and she will have a speedy recovery. Pray for my nerves too and that I will have the physical strength to do the therapy she will need. My little furbaby. |

| Have you heard anything about her yet? Was the surgery a success? Will she be able to come home today? Just how is mom holding up??? It's not cruel to for her to have surgery to fix this - it would be cruel to NOT do it cause then she would always be in pain. Animals need surgery sometimes just like us ol' humans do. You're being a good mom for her! As for the PT, have they told what you will have to do? For Brea I just had to move the leg and they told me once she started walking on it that I could quit the PT. Update us as soon as you know anything ok???? Hugs... |

| Sweet Tink and her Momma will be in my thoughts tomorrow morning. Charlie says he is sending Tink a "get well" wish - especially because she is so pretty. That is serious surgery, and glad you have a specialist in your corner. Warmly, Deborah and Charlie For Tink:

| Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers. The surgeon said she will need to walk with a sling to keep her from putting too much weight on the leg for the first week. They will tell me in the morning what therapy she will need. I think she has to go back for some warm water therapy, but since she's little, that should be easy to do in the bathtub at home. I've read alot about it on the web so I feel prepared. This will be $2000 well-spent on my little sweetie. But she better be prepared to work hard with that therapy! We had a little talk last night at bed-time but I'm not sure she got it all. She looked a little confused. Like "But Mom, I can't be expected to work! I'm a fairy." Now she's never used that excuse before. Because we both know she's NOT a fairy. She's my little furbaby! I'll post as soon as I know something tomorrow. Thanks everyone. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i'll be sending prayers and good thoughts for you and Tink tomorrow. I'm sure her surgery will go just fine and you'll have her home on wednesday. She'll be as good as new in a few months and she'll be so much happier.
