need your thoughts asap please

I hope all goes well for u sending prayers to your baby! I am sure she is in good hands at the vets and everything will work out. One thing that I saw was that you bought chicken, I gave Armani boiled chicken for the first time yesterday and he had diarrhea today.. who knows how your baby will react if she has never tried it so start with a little bit at a time

Oh yes, I briefly saw your post about that a minute ago....I cook for them all now, in addition to their dry kibble I leave out. I've never had a reaction to any different food, which is the oposite of what they say to expect! I would think that it is normal that a change would give your baby diarrhea, so hopefully that is whats going on! Make sure he is getting lots of fluids so he doesn't dehydrate! I bought pedialyte to keep on hand, and also pedi -pops in the freezer!!

thanks!!! he ate dry kibble and drank lots of water this morning.. the vet kept saying he will be a small one not more than 4 pounds as an adult but everytime we go to the wet.. which is prob every other week thanks to the giardia lol he gains weight I got him at 1.4 February 20th and last thur he was 2.4 lol. He eats everything and anything..

Ewww you're a giardia house too! Haha! Us too....you probably posted on my thread too, but I've forgotten who all did. Did your baby vomit from the giardia at all? Mine never had diarrhea?
Thats great that he is gaining weight and is healthy! Maybe we have another porkie yorkie on our hands

no he had it in the lower gi so he had diarrhea im still doing the panacur for him as the first round did not eliminate it completely. Giardia really does suck and its a pest to get rid of. I posted on your other thread. Yogurt is really good for them. Also anytime he pooped I wiped his butt with baby wipes to make sure he was not reinfecting himself.

I used baby wipes also. And washed my hands over & over to make sure I wouldn't catch it. Piper had giardia also when we 1st got her along with coccidia. Yogurt & cottage cheese were her favorites. Took us a few rounds of meds to get her over it all.

Armani used to like cottage cheese a lot but now he doesn and I couldn figure out why until I realized that the cottage cheese looks a lot like the liquid form of panacur lol
