i don't know if i'd give it to him today if your putting him on a oral antibiotic tomorrow. but if your confident in your vet's decision then give it to him. dogs do get penecillin (amoxicilin) antibiotics. i don't know what else to tell you about getting him to eat. its been a long time since he's eaten, he might need to be hospitalized to get him on fluids. i'm sorry he's not doing well.

Bruizer is started on the amoxicilin now and seems to be doing better today. I got some Karo Syrup in him last night and he kept that down. He did get a penecilin shot yesterday. And this morning I gave him a little more Karo Syrup and started the amoxicilin. He did drink a little this morning. He is still kinda just mopping around the house but he has been awake for the last 20 minutes and yesterday he would only stay awake for about 5 then he would go to sleep!

Maybe he's on his way to recovery. Maybe he just eat something that didn't argee with his tummy?

He still wont eat but I think he's afraid to throw it back up.

I sure hope your baby is on his way to recovering. I have a 13 week old and I would certainly be panicked if he was sick like that. Sending prayers.

Our vet told us never to give dogs Pepto Bismol because it contains aspirin--

Olay guys, I'm sorry I havent update you all, we had a family emergancy.

Bruizer has been on an antibiotic for 5 days now and since friday night he has started coming back to normal. I picked him up last night from a family friend and he was hyper and jumping all over me. He's BACK TO HIMSELF!!!! YAY. I want to thank you all for your prayer and well wishes. And helping me through his illness. We still dont know what it was. I am thinking he ate something over at my Moms and it didn't argee with his little tummy. But thank you all again, I love YT!

I think your fast thinking of the antibiotic did it. I doubt it was something he ate.
