| coughing and pain in sides Help I have a male who's 3yrs old he started about a yr ago coughing when playing real hard I noticed its been getting to be alot more lately. Also if you touch him right in front of his back legs on his side he yelps. Any clue please ???? |

| Well, the pain is probably a pulled muscle from coughing...BUT I suggest you take him to the vet to be sure. It may just be asthma if it's on exertion, (after playing really hard). Is there wheezing, too, or just coughing? Does anything come up when he coughs (mucus)? Does water help? Is there anything that stops it?
