Hi, I'm new here and my poor baby is 11 years old and having horrible problems with her stomach. The gurgling, protruding belly. And she's trembling. She just looks to me to fix it. It's the trembling that is so sad. I gave her a small amount of Pepto and that seemed to work. Was that wrong?

She is on senior science diet. Why is baby aspirin bad? Yes, we were giving her the chicken treats, because we were told chicken was good for her stomach!

some use baby aspirin so do not beat yourself up - i just prefer not to - it is tylenol that is most critical. If the aspirin works go to petsmart and get the aspirin for dogs. But my concern is what is causing the pain and how long has this been going on ?

| please take her to the vet; as the pain could be from many different causes. pancreatitis, fever causes trembeling, gastritis...... asprin is an ANSAID which is bad for a dog with stomach issue; it can cause beeling of the stomach lining. good luck

this is true aspirin is tough on tummy just like in humans and can lead to ulcers - do you ever see dark coffee ground looking stuff in diarrhea or vomit as that is a sign of ulcers

Thanks for the suggestions. Yes, I have made an appointment with Lulu's vet. She wants to check her for cushings because (a)she drinks a lot, (b)she's hungry all the time and (c) her belly looks big and full. So we will see what the problem is.I can't stand thinking of her getting old. Her vet said a lot of times mamas think it's old age, when the symtoms say cushings. Anyway, I'll let you know the outcome, as soon as I know.
