Questions please help Ive had alot of health problems with my puppy since ive had her and ive only had her like 2 weeks or so. Okay first she had to have eye surgery and now i took her to get groomed to make her half shaved face look normal and her hair cut is cute but my problem is the groomer lady said her laying arround and sleeping all the time might be a sign that something else is wrong with her she thinks my puppy has hypoglycemia or something like that and i was just wandering what the signs of that were i mean shes been sleeping alot since i got her and i was just wandering is that normal i thought puppies were supposed to play and be hyper etc. Ok second deal my groomer also stated that when anna my puppy had a accident in her kenel her stool had blood in it and when i called my vet and told him this he said she could have a parasite or something and that i should bring in a stool sample etc. I was just wandering what kind of parasite or other problem causes this and where would she get it and could this be due to yet another breeder problem to add to my list. my dog was supposed to have a health gurantee and the breeder has offered to pay for half of her eye suregery etc and i have had this dog only 2 weeks and this is a lot of problems i paid more for this dog then i should have obviously only cuz of the health gurantee and akc registerable part and i havent got those either. I need serious help.

I would just take her back to the vet tomorrow. Run all the labs and stool that is needed. If she has blood in her stool she might be anemic and that would cause lethargy. But to guess is just not appropiate. Take her to the vet. Also, how old is your baby? Babies sleep alot. Does she play well when she is awake?

My Piper was very sick after I brought her home. She was treated for parasites the vet said she was infested with them but it only took a couple of doses of medicine and an overnight stay and she has been fine. I was worried myself because she didn't play at all just laid there. Take her to the vet ASAP and let them know the symptoms and they will fix her up.

Shes gone to the vet once and he looked her over and said she was fine except for her eye which required surgery. But she sleeps all the time and at first i thought it was just cuz she was new here and being in a new place and the car ride here wore her out but shes been here 2ish weeks now she is 17 weeks old yesterday. But she literally sleeps alot i bet she sleeps oh 95% of the day and she sleeps most of the night only getting up when hubby gets home since she loves him so much and thats usually jsut to move to his side of the bed lol.

Just "looking her over" is inadequate care. I would find another vet and request the records from your old vet to take to the new vet. She needs to be tested from a stool sample and possibly have blood work done. Don't delay!

| I agree that you should find a new vet and don't delay. Not every vet is saavy about the Yorkshire Terrier which do have special needs since they are small. Good luck and let us know how she is progressing.

I understand where your coming from but i dont think there is a vvet arround here that is any better then he is and he has been real good. He did her surgery and gave her her shots and hes dealt with my breeder lady calling him too. so i really like him and ive actually heard good things from him by all kinds of people in our area. my groomer even goes to him for a vet with her 2 yorkies. i dont want to change i hear such bad things about the other vet in town. He seems to be very capable my groomer who i loved and did a good job on my 2 dogs loves this vet as well for her 2 yorkies.

umm this might be tmi but still looking for bloody stool groomer had already cleaned it up and discarded before i could tell her the vet wanted it. the vet said a bloody one would be better. So ive been checking after everytime she goes and i still havent found anything. im just gonna take a normal stool in tomorow if she doesnt have one by then. she is more active today tho dont know whats gotten into her. is it normal if it is a parasite to not always show signs in the stool. and would the vet be able to find anything in just any sample.
