| Has it eaten lately? If not and the pup won't eat his regular food, try soaking a little bit in some chicken or beef broth. Don't let him eat too much or he'll throw up from being too full; just a little at a time. If that doesn't work, try some boiled chicken mixed with some cooked rice. Again, not too much at one time. Good luck to you. |

| A 12 week old vomiting puppy is something to be concerned with. If vomiting persists, a trip to emergency is in order. These lil ones can go down very fast.

| 12 week old lethargic, puking puppy is not a good sign. I would take him to the vet. Have them do a fecal test and all that.

| Well we sure did have a day today. He got sick twice after I had posted his and once more was enough to know he needed some help. I called his vet (he has not even gone yet since we have had him because it has only been 2 weeks) and they left the number to an animal emergency room. They got him on an IV and got him some fluids. His sugar level was down to 40. They also tested him for parvo and that came back negative. They wanted us to keep him but we wanted him here and will get him into the vet first thing tomorrow. He is doing a lot better and the only thing he ate was boiled chicken. He is starting to act a little more like himself now though so I am relieved. Thanks for all the advice.

| I hope that it's nothing and he's just going through a spell. Good luck to you both.

| Hope everything's okay!! You should have them check for coccidia...When I got Miko he had low blood sugar and a severe case of coccidia. That can make them go down fast...Good luck, and keep us updated!

| Update on Brewsky Brewsky had a rough night last night. When we went to bed he had actually ate some boiled chicken and I thought he was going to keep it down but he sure did not. He was as weak as he was before we took him to emergency room this morning. So we made a trip to the vet this morning. They gave him another IV and ran blood tests. They tested his stool and found parasite eggs but the Vet said that is taken care of pretty easily. Also they gave him 4 more medicines and kept him on his other 2 from last night. 6 meds is a lot to give a puppy but it seems to be working. He is up eating, pooping normally, and bouncing around again so we are very relieved.

| Another Update So it has been almost 2 weeks since Brewsky's episode and he is doing so much better. He has put on two lbs. He looks so much more healthy. He is playing a lot and getting more curious. He sleeps through the whole night though like a good boy and his stool is finally solid. As of today he does not have to take anymore medicine. YAY! My baby boy is better

| Cocoa was sick a couple of weeks ago (he is 12 weeks) and it was caused by coccidia, which is a parasite that can be contracted from the mother and other adult dogs. He also had diarrhea...I began hand feeding him and giving him pedialite so he didn't get low blood sugar which, is very threatning. I suggest taking him to the vet and having a fecal exam and also make sure he gets plenty of fluids. |
