Donating YT 14K Club Member | Looks like ringworm and I pray that it isn't. Ringworm is difficult to get rid of...bleaching down walls, everyplace the dog has been. It can take months to get rid of...not to mention special shampoos and pills.

| I was reading that they can get if from contaminated dirt or something like that. The only place Chance goes is our backyard. I don't know what he could have gotten into to get this but goose poop. He is into everything and likes to eat grass, sticks...whatever he can get his hands on in the backyard. I did board them at a kennel over the summer but that was back in Aug. I'll be calling the vet first thing this morning. Thanks everyone!

| Update On Chance Just wanted to let you all know that the vet said it is not ringworm. That it looks like he had a reaction to his rabies shot that he got back in May. And sometimes the place where she gives the rabies shot looses hair and the skin gets discolored. I'm glad its not ringworm.

| That is what it looked like to me and the location was right, but like I posted earlier the area affected seemed a little large. Try rubbing some liquid Vitamin E oil on the spot daily and maybe you can get some hair to resume growing. You can buy it in a bottle or open the capsules. I have also heard that Preparation H might be helpful. |
