| Brookf18 -- I know exactly how you feel. When my pup was 8 or 10 weeks old, he never dropped down off a chair or the sofa - he was like yours. He would jump up and out and away he'd go. I'm sure he ended up with about 6 feet air time everytime he got off anything. And, he worried me too -- but he lived through it. Funny though - now that he's a year old - he just jumps down and off - in a much more reasonable fashion. Maybe our little puppis do think they can fly....... Carol Jean |

| Watch those babies! When Seymour gets a "twinkle" in his eye I know he is looking for trouble.... so I keep him off the back of the couch. He likes to do the "flying squirrel" off the back of the couch when he gets rowdy..... which I do not allow... the little guys is just way too brave! I guess we really need to keep these brave little furkids under careful watch at all times!.............. by the way, Petsmart usually has a Santa that you can get your furbabies pics with! I went last year ... I bought the pic that they took (not a good pic...camera... cheap polaroid), but had my hubby take some with our camera while we were there. |

| My oldest son is over 30 now and I still clearly remember the day I dropped him. I was horrified, rushed him to the hospital sure that he had to have been injured. He checked out fine but I got the attitude from the check in nurse like how could I drop a little one like that. I wanted to scream I was a careful mother -- I had covers on all my outlets, latches on all the cupboards, did not let him play with dirt, unknown pets, or even kids I was not comfortable with. But accidents do happen -- even when you show your love a thousand different ways. Casey will be fine and you will probably be over-careful for a while. But your concern is evident. You took him to the vet, bought pain meds for a bruised rib, and then went looking for input from a forum on ideas to make him more comfortable. I'd say Casey is a lucky dog!

| So glad Casey's ok. These little guys think they're 10 feet tall and bulletproof, don't they?
