| Does your dog chew on his/her paw? Every so often I find that hes chewing on his foot paw. Its not hurt or anything and its always the same foot. Does your yorkie do this? And hes old enoough to not be teething anymore I don't get it. |

| Riley does but only if he's laying on his back and he doesn't have a toy to put in his mouth. He'll put his leg in his mouth and bark so it's a muffled bark...yep, he's a goofball! |

| Zena does that and she's done it for as long as we had her. I don't think there's anything wrong with her paw so I have no idea why she does it... |

| It could also be allergies. Try wiping your babies feet when you come in from outdoors. Lot's of dogs have a contact allergy to grass, weeds, etc. We resolved Ginger's paw chewing with a little tlc (foot wipes) whenever she comes in from outside. If it's wet out, I actually rinse her little feet off in the sink.

| Mia does this. She chews on the same paw, same spot. She has been doing this for a long time. There is no sign of anything wrong with it. It is not red or swollen, and she never limps. |

I was going to say allergies too. Gizmo chews his paws so bad it sounds like he's chewing them off! But they only get red. We give him benadryl and it helps him. I also think there might be a spray for the paws.

| Thanks everyone i'm going to try and wipe his paws when he comes in. If that doesn't work i'm going to look for a spray or something. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali does it in spurts. Right now she is really chewing it. I mentioned it to the vet yesterday and he looked at it and said it was a little swollen fron chewing on it and I could put a little panalog cream on it.

| Indy chews his feet too. I think it's allergies. He did it alot in the spring and then kind of backed off over the summer, now he's at it again. It is annoying in the middle of the night and he always leaves big wet spots from the chewing. Gingersgirlmom, I never thought about wiping his feet when he comes in, I'll have to try that. |

| This can also be a sign of a food allergy. |
