Oh Yea I am glad you are getting your money back from the Breeder. You should take it and get another yorkie puppy when you are ready |
Yes, this is absolutely a puppy mill. Just because a facility is seeming clean, doesn't make it any less a commercial puppy selling operation. If the place were as clean as it appears (probably cleaned right before puppy buyers appeared) you would have been much less likely to have gotten a pup with coccidia...it is transmitted from infected feces, and water. i did speak with my vet about him not mentioning the tube feeding.. his reply was.. i know how you are you never want to let go but she was so sick there was nothing us or you could do to save her.. her body was to weak..and she wasnt healthy when you got her what was keeping her going was your will to take care of her.. and not give up so she couldnt. he said if i had left her to be cared for at the vets off she would have passed sooner. when she heard my voice she would perk up..he does want to do an autopsy to see what all was wrong.. should i let him? or just let her go on and be cremated |
But when you DO get another puppy..should you come accross another operation like this.. RUN! Please really research where you should be getting a healthy puppy before buying another one to save yourself this heartache again. A new puppy into the family isn't supposed to be this way. :( Quote:

ABSOLUTELY! Should the breeder NOT send the money back, that necropsy willl give you the ammunition you need to prove her/his negligence, and be able to do something about it! It will also help set your mind at ease that you did everything you could. Quote:

dazzlin what part of tennesee are you in? i know a yorkie breeder there she has been the one to give me all the yorkies i have had.. some people have given her distrssed puppies and she helps them when she gets to many she calls me..shes in nashville |
Yes! My pups live with me in my home! I would consider it a puppy mill! |
i do get the impression my vet doesnt know as much about the problems with yorkies. there has been several things i had found on web pages and asked him about..he didnt mention tube feeding.. and he did say my dogs here werent in danger of getting it because there older.. and have there immune systems built to resist it but on pages ive read thats not true.. its kinda hard for me to understand the things hes not said about this pup when he has saved the others that had been given up on elsewhere.. i dont know what to think. |
I\'m in eastern TN right outside of Knoxvillle, Grew up in Nashville though.. who is this you\'re talking about? You can PM me if you want. Quote:

That is totally untrue..the older dogs can absolutely get it, and so can you. Quote:

I didnt know humans could get coccidia. I figured other dogs in the house could get it. Hmm I learned something today. |
