| Benji's getting microchipped Benji is at the vet as we speak to get microchipped. I know it is just a little thing but I am so nervous because I had to drop him off and have to pick him up later. I just hope it doesn't hurt the poor thing too bad. Did anyone else have to drop their furbabies off or did the vet just do it right when you were there???

| I haven't had Ginger microchipped yet, but we are planning to. We went to a yorkie picnic a few months back (put on by one of the yorkie rescues) and they had a vet there who was microchipping dogs on the spot. It seemed to go quickly and was relatively painless. These little guys were running around right afterwards. Perhaps your vet just wants to be sure all goes well and there is no reaction/problem? Anyway, big hugs to you and Benji. It's always hard to drop them off anywhere (I worry when she's at the groomers, the vets, my mothers, lol). I'm sure he'll be fine and VERY happy to see you when you go back for him.

| I had Sadie chipped last week. The vet did it right there on the spot. She was running around right away & never acted like it bothered her.

| He will be alright. I'm puzzled as to why you had to leave him.I seen my sister's dog get chipped and it was like giving a shot. |

| My last dog was microchipped at the vet while I stood there. Like the others have said, it's just a shot. Demi is getting microchipped on 10/14 at a microchip clinic my trainer is sponsoring. I think it's only $14. I can't wait! I feel so much better knowing that my dog is chipped. I'm hoping to take Demi with me to Europe next year, and at that time I'll get the ISO European-friendly chip kit and take it to my vet so she can get the second microchip at the same time that she gets her health certificates. |

| Sissy got chipped last month. Our vet doesn't do microchipping so I took her to a local shelter. They did it right there (only takes a few seconds for the whole process). She yelped a little but was fine. The real drag was the first one came out later that day!!! So, we had to go again. The other one is just fine though.

I Love Thor Donating Member | How is Benji doing? Luckily microchipping isn't a huge ordeal although it can certainly be a bit scary leaving your baby at the vets and knowing that they are getting poked. I'm sure it didn't phase him too much. |

| Yes, how is Benji doing? Charlie was chipped yesterday when he was under getting neutered. I noticed today when I picked him up that there is blood and slight scab at the site of the chip. Do they use a smaller needle when they are awake vs. asleep? I feel so much better now he is chipped and can't wait to get the girls done in two weeks when they go in for spaying. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I had Cali and Maya microchipped a couple of months ago and the vet took them in the back one at a time and he said they did fine. Only took a few minutes and he said that most of the time was on paperwork for the chip. He will do fine.

| hey everyone! Sorry I didn't get back to you guys yesterday. We picked Benji up at around 2 and then went a bunch of places with him. We had to help my boyfriend's uncle move out of our house!!!! So now it is just to three of us again (me, Pat and Benji). The vet called at like 10:30 yesterday and asked if they could sedate Benji because they thought it would be best for him so I said that was fine. He was a little sleepy yesterday but today he is really playful. He has a little scab on him back but that is about it. I am so happy he is microchipped now! It makes me feel a lot better.
