| Where to get... Quote:
Just as a side note, the first ingredient on the list is Corn Syrup, and that's what our breeder had suggested if she seemed lethargic when we first brought her home. -hubby of the mommy of Mia | |

| So glad Mia is doing well! When you recieve a baby yorkie released to your home . Please do not take them out in public for several weeks. For one thing they are not completely vaccinated. Keep things quiet. Let them adjust. Show them their potty place, or sleep quarters. Show them where they live, the whole place. Let them get to know you and your family. Do not subject them to try to adapt to others. They really do not like it. It makes them uncomfortable. Think of yourself. " Do you like that stuff, if you can chose?" |

| Update-- So it wasn't hypoglycemia Mia was better yesterday, but today she did recover completely. She continued to eat and drink. We also gave her some more nutrical, however around noon she was still lethargic. She also had diarrhea right before noon. We took her to the vet this afternoon, they did some blood tests and her red blood cell count came low. Her fecal exam had a bunch of larvas also. The vet thinks it is either hookworms or liver shunt. She said they cannot tell yet because the parasites they found are somehow abnormal and the low red blood cell count could be an indication of parasites or liver shunt. They are consulting parasitologists. Mia was given some medicine in case it is hookworms and she seems to be a little better. We are going to give her the parasite medicine for the next two days. If she doesn't seem to be better tomorrow afternoon, they will investigate further. Our poor baby. I really hope its only parasites and that she will be better as soon as possible. Also, I have decided to buy pet insurance right away. |

| oh wow, keep us posted on how she is doing. I hope it is just the parasites. Question, When you give the puppy nurtical, do you stick it in their mouth? Starsky always turned his nose up from it. I am getting my little girl in a week and I need to be prepared. This thread scares me, I hope she is okay.
