| Is she sick? OK I brought Gracie home 3 weeks ago. She had "kennel cough" which was treated. At first she was coughing quite a bit. Now she is coughing mainly in the morning or in the middle of the night. It is a very hacky cough, like if she had heartworn (too young for that). What do you think? I have heard Yorkies cough alot but I am not sure? |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali was the same way when I got her. It took over 3 months and 3 rounds of meds to clear it up. She gave it to my Pom who took even longer to get rid of. And it was mostly in the morning when getting up and late in the evening. I just took her in every few weeks to make sure her lungs were clear. Hopefully it will clear up soon.

| I'm not sure about the kennel cough, but if her parents had heart worms she could have been born with them. Just something to keep in mind, I hope she feels better soon!

| It probably is still symptoms of kennel cough. They can give antibiotics, but really the immune system must overcome it. Here's a link to causes of coughs you can read. http://www.canismajor.com/dog/cough |
