| YT family, Your outpouring of thoughts and prayers have meant so very much to me. Cricket has hydrocephalus and is on dexamethasone 2x's a day. Dr. Bronstad talked at great length with me when I picked her up today. He did tell me that we would know within the next two weeks if this will help. If this starts to reduce the swelling in the brain then she will have a chance to grow a little more and that she could live a normal life. I don't dare think past the next two weeks. She is in my lap as I write this. She and I will spend alot of time together and I will take whatever time I have with her. Be it two days, two weeks or two years. She has not had any seizures that we know of and she can see, which has the vet encouraged, in fact she is quite alert tonight. I left to go into town and when I came home I could hear her barking in the bedroom as she heard me. It breaks my heart that she can't walk but this hit so fast yesterday and we acted quickly. If you recall she started out acting as if she was sore, yesterday when I picked her up at the vet she could bearly stand. Dr. Bronstad gave her a shot of the med. earlier today and it may be helping some because she is trying to walk a little tonight. Going to potty is trial and error but we will work that out as well. I take her outside and hold her up several times incase she has to potty. We did tee tee earlier. I can feed her anything since this illiness has nothing to do with diet. Right now she is having chicken, rice with alittle carrots. also, strained chicken baby food. I will worry about the dry food later as I hate to give any kind of wet food but as long as I can get her to eat I will worry about the small stuff later. If anyone has any experience with this please let me hear your experiences good or bad as I have been made aware of what we are up against. Please know how much better I feel to have someone to talk with about Cricket. My regular vet Dr. Andrews has been so good to me. I have his own private cell phone number and he has talked to me twice today. He will be out of his office until Monday but wanted me to be able to reach him if I needed to. I thought that was pretty nice of him. He told me today that she is the sweetest baby and he sent her to someone that knew alot more about this than he did. Dr. Bronstad is one of the best and I really like him as well. Thanks once again for holding my hand so to speak, just being able to talk to you helps me. I will keep you informed. Judy |

| Well, Miss Cricket is not eating well today. I can get her to eat small amounts of chicken baby food and she is drinking water some. I am giving her Nutrical 3 times a day and about 1cc of water in addition to the few laps of water she takes 3 times a day. My main concern is that she hasn't pooped since I brought her home from the hospital yesterday. Of course she fasted on Wed. for the acid bile test and was in the hospital in Dallas until yesterday afternoon. I know she was on IV's since Wed night until yesterday when I picked her up so I don't know if that is to be expected or not. My vet called again today to check on her and he was encouraged that she has had any seizures and is hoping the swelling in her barin is mild. If that is the cast then he is feel a little most assurring that the meds. might help. She is still bright-eyed and has been trying to move some. She is still far from back to normal but I will take anything positive at this point. We had a little talk last night and I promised her we would face this together and we would get better. |

She weighs not quite 2 lbs and I don't want to give her too much water. She drinks it well for me so I am not having to force feeding her it. My main concern is that she hasn't pooped since I brought her home from the hospital yesterday. I give her lots of love and kisses but at the same time I let her stay in a quiet place and she sleeps alot too. She slept like a rock last night with me snuggling her. Thanks for thinking of us.
