| ![]() Ok Im not sure why you are putting "sigh" at this but whatever... Ive already told you what Ive told you and you've told me what you've told me.. I cannot get on here but now and then... I do have email notifications turned on NOW.. but I didnt before.. Just an update.. Laylah has been absolutely fine.. I have her on Lactolose as said previously and I do have a script for Keppra... I will have her retested in 3 months for her blood work and bile acids if need be... Ive already taken her to another vet whom I showed videos of what she does in an episode. He said that is not a seizure, that is called a focal episode and it is nearly always some to do with the brain. He also said that because this is a focal episode that Keppra will likely not do anything the same way as phenobarbital did not do anything. He said I can try it if I like to and its not hurtful to her liver but he doesnt have high hopes that it will work in a focal episode. He felt that she may need something else instead He also said what I am feeding her is also fine.. He does not think there is anything wrong with Primal dog food.. He is unsure why her bile acid came back that high unless of course there is a shunt but he is saying the same as I and that this is not a seizure as in a grand mal seizure that most think of when the word seizure is said. He wants me to redo the test with them in 120 days I explained that when she does this that she comes when called, she does not drool but she will walk herself for hours unless she can sit with me until she will finally fall relax enough to sleep. He said this walking could also have some to do with separation anxiety in addition to underlying condition. Thats all for now.. I will post more when I know more... | ![]() Ok Im just done with this forum.. Im going to delete my account after posting this because no one is listening to me .. And I DO NOT wait for SO long to take her to a vet.. One thing that you guys have to remember is that you are also NOT vets!! You run an online web forum but you are not vets either... You refuse to listen to what Im saying and go off and "sigh" at me when I cannot get on here ... I do happen to have a life outside of being online.. I have been taking Laylah to her vet for phenobarbital check ups and regular check ups and you go off and say I havent done anything since 2019 and she was showing signs then????? Well excuse me very much but at the time I started to read what was in here she HAD been on phenobarbital at that time and it did NOTHING ... So I'll post this back to you Lady Jane but remember you are not a vet either.. And if it is so frustrating pardon me!!! Ive had her to the vet not long after I posted this bile acid thread and now I wish I hadnt!!! All you do is make a person feel worse and throw out rude comments and "sigh" at ppl... If I werent a better person I'd tell you to go eff yourself.. Im DONE with you and Im done with this website and you especially have been NO HELP at ALL - You and your OPINION can go shove it thankyouverymuch - I didnt HAVE to come back here and give an update... But I did... Now I wish I hadnt... What a joke!!! |

Don't ask for HELP if you don't want it. You know how to view this. Honestly, I wish you hadn't shared this either. I really do. All I can do is pray for your pup. *SIGH*

| ![]() The person you are angry with is not me. I don't want your dog and I don't sell dogs. I save them. I don't need to defend that. It bothers me when I see cases like this, but I learned long ago that: A. no one can save them all B. you can lead a horse to water, but cannot make it drink We posted sound advice on this forum for you but you didn't want it because it didn't fit your agenda. Every one who responded was trying their best but we cannot just lie and say all is well. You asked, you received. Blasting us for responding to your request for help isn't going to change the reality of what is happening to your dog.

You can blast us all day and tell us as you said to go "eff" ourselves but please remember you asked for HELP as if it were an emergency and now say you have "a life" and couldn't come back with an update Well, so do we have lives yet we took the time to try to help you help Laylah. You are done? LOL yeah, I think I am . I am not laughing because this is funny...but, because it is ludicrous.

| ![]() [quote=ladyjane;4822562]If you feel worse, perhaps you need to explore why you feel that way. I'm sorry but we were all as kind as we could be....you posted about a very ill dog and now get mad at US because you cannot afford the vet care needed. | ![]() No, dear, not laughing at you. Laughing at myself for allowing myself to be drug into such lunacy. No one here claimed to be a vet. You were advised to go TO a specialty vet. You asked for, and received, HELP. You are the one who capitalized it. I am not taking on your anger....it is all yours. You say you don't know anyone who can afford the prices for the things your Laylah needs. All I will say to that is that I happen to know a LOT of people who have provided it. Did they have the money on hand? No, they found a way. Then, there have been others who couldn't but did what was best for their dog, not themselves, and lovingly surrendered to someone who could afford it. As I said above, I will pray for her and also pray for you that you soon begin to understand that people have said what you needed to hear and perhaps you will find a way to get for LAYLAH what she needs. BTW I don't know what a nutritionalist is .... perhaps I was mixed up because I only know nutritionist. If you have that definition I would love to hear so I can look into them.

| ![]() BTW there used to be some United Yorkie Rescue foster homes in Ohio. Not sure they are still there, but IF you ever decide you need help, I recommend them
