| ![]() Hi nanajoy and matese, Thank you for your kind words and prayers. I visited him a little while ago. He was understandable groggy and lethargic. He had the IV hooked to his little leg. He went out with me for a tiny walk and pee. Once we went back inside the room they had for us, as soon as he saw the food, he happily ate some. It was great. Poor little man is stressed out from being away from home and us on top of being sick. I spent about 45 minutes with him until he relaxed and lied down. He's so precious. I had him covered with the blanket they had just as he likes it. It was great to know I can still provide a tiny bit of relief to his little aching body. We went to pee again before I left him. He reluctantly went with the tech. They did say he has not had any bowl movement since we dropped him off which is great. Hopefully it'll be solid once he has one. |

| ![]() Hi everyone, So our little man had a temperature of 106 and it took medicine, ice packs next to him under a blanket to finally bring it down to 102. The vet is not very optimistic because we're close to final 3rd day of his treatment and he's not responding. He has pooped and eats sporadically but he's not returning to himself. They usually see the dogs starting to behave normal again which in his case would be to try to bite them or wag his tail. They're going to take some x-rays but if nothing changes by tomorrow morning, we might unfortunately have to discuss euthanasia. I am beside myself. I don't even know how it's possible to go from the ball of energy to this. For the past 4.5 years since we moved here, it's just been him and I since I stopped working. I see him everywhere. It hasn't been normal around here since he's been at the vet and I don't hear his jingles from his collar. We knew this day would be coming but it just seems too soon. He's not old enough. It's never long enough. |
