| Puppy puking foam quite many times Hello, My Yorkie is nearly 1 year old, and for the past week hes been puking white/yellow ish foam about once or twice a day. It started when my girlfriend gave him some new food. He normally only gets Vigour & Sage dry food, but last weekend he got some wet food and he didnt puke until he ate the last box of it on Sunday. After this hes been vomiting foam almost daily. Hes behaviour has not changed at all, hes still very playful and happy, and he always has been a small eater and just eats whenever it suits him , so he eats as normal aswell. Should I be worried? I have not called a vet yet as most things I found on google says its quite normal and nothing worrying since his behaviour is the same, but I feel like its been quite long now. Best regards Ken |

| Frequent meals My girl has that problem if she isn't fed every few hours. She gets 4 small meals a day and if she doesn't she will do the foamy yellow-green barfing.

Is there anything I should do to have him eat more often? He loves liverpaste and will gobble an entire bowl of dry food if I add some of that, but it would suck if he only ate when he got that his entire life so I dont want him to get used to that. | |

| That sounds like bile which means he needs to eat more often. If it didn’t start until the new food I would go back to the old food. If it keeps happening then a vet trip is indeed needed.

| What would you do if you were vomiting daily for several days in a row? Your baby can't talk and tell you how he feels and ANY material change in their behavior, not to mention frequent vomiting, needs a vet has always been my rule of thumb. Sounds like that baby needs some professional help. Any dog vomiting foam more than one day should be examined and evaluated by a vet. He's likely getting dehydrated, losing electrolytes, but being a dog, he's trying to hide how he feels. Dogs are stoics by nature, they hide their illness/injuries in order to survive. Vet check couldn't hurt and might just keep him from anymore needless nausea, suffering. Imagine being nauseated enough to throw up for days!!!!!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | First you have to determine if he's actually vomiting or regurgitating. Vomiting is where they heave, heave, then vomit up stomach contents. Regurgitating is when something just comes up/out pretty much without warning. Could be from feeling too hungry. Could also be reflux.
