Thanks Everyone! Bells is so much better today. My daughter hand fed her ( after the appetite stim med) she is awake, running to the door to see me when I arrive back home. she's back to begging for food and I say to my husband, " 887 and 5 thousand dollars" and he says I know I know. She was so lethargic last night in bed...he stayed up all night to make sure she was breathing. She didn't move the entire night from the spot she started in and her breathing was sooo shallow. He said he wondered if they sent her home to die. I didn't sleep the night before and I was asleep most of the night. I only awakened once to see him with his ear to her stomach. We did call the doc to see if they would give us compound meds..they are being created at a local compounding pharmacy. They are changing some meds...I'll write them down when I get them. They said the HPyloria was dxed by guess - it's been the case before and the antibiotic will address it. The biopsy is on hold until she is better. Her pain med it down to once a day since it was so groggy inducing. I don't know if morning or evening is better. I'd think morning because any reaction we won't see when we are asleep. She's up and about once in a while and I feel so much better that she does too.

Funny! I hope your prize is something big! Although, he is likely NOT guessing..maybe using empirical evidence I know she's a long way from being 100% herself- but I feel so much better. She's back to growling at my daughter for moving when she's sitting near her- THAT is 100% Bells.

So happy Bells is doing better and that you had a sleep last night. You must have been exhausted. Sweet of hubby to keep watch last night, he must really care. Great that your baby is eating and has some mojo back. Hope the compounded meds make it easier for you all. Take it slow with the food intake, a little and often, as her little body is still weak and healing. Praying that the great news continues and you feel less stressed now you see such improvement in your baby. Hugs to you all. Keep up the good work little Bells.

Question Wondering what anyone's opinion is on stpopping the evening pain med ( 1/2 25 mg of Gabapentin)? When I spoke to the nurse today about how out of it she was last night & that it was scary- they said we could quit the nighttime dose at 10. p. Now I'm doubting this request. She is only one day out of the hospital and her pancreas is still inflamed. I don't want her to be in pain at all so wondering if I should give it anyway or cut it in half? I am afraid how out of it she was and how shallow her breathing was during the night. Is it a good idea to cut pain relief at all? Or in half? BTW, the compounding pharmacy was very busy today and said they would be done with our order tomorrow and I'll have the names of the other meds.

Gaba How about giving her half a pill and a second half in the night if she seems disturbed and in pain? It is scary to have her so out of it at night.

| I agree....I would try half and see how that goes. You can always give more if you have to.

Thanks, Ladies. I will try 1/2 a pill. I think she's a bit antsy ...chewing her leg and not settling.
