 Question
Wondering what anyone's opinion is on stpopping the evening pain med ( 1/2 25 mg of Gabapentin)?
When I spoke to the nurse today about how out of it she was last night & that it was scary- they said we could quit the nighttime dose at 10. p.
Now I'm doubting this request. She is only one day out of the hospital and her pancreas is still inflamed. I don't want her to be in pain at all so wondering if I should give it anyway or cut it in half? I am afraid how out of it she was and how shallow her breathing was during the night. Is it a good idea to cut pain relief at all? Or in half?
BTW, the compounding pharmacy was very busy today and said they would be done with our order tomorrow and I'll have the names of the other meds. |
