| I knew with a name like Hebert she probably lives in south Louisiana. I was wondering if she is in my area but she isn't. She is nearby to New Iberia in a small town called Erath. Hopefully she will check back in and let us know what happened.

| That amount of honey was more than is usually given but it will not permanently harm her. Her wee body will just use what it needs and pee the rest off...Sounds as if the baby is young and diabetes most likely is not the problem.. PLEASE GET BACK TO US!!! Let us know how y'all are doing... |

| Did I tell you you are a really nice person? Quote:
I was one of the first people to post on this thread, and I was very concerned about the welfare of this pup. Amanda, you are really sweet, but if this turns out to be bogus, I am really upset. I do hope this was a true cry for help, and not someone playing a nasty trick on sweet unsuspecting yorkie lovers like us. I know she is new, but starting 3 threads all at the same time (2 were locked by admin, probably because of multiple postings) with the same story and then disappearing POOF without telling anyone she was finally taking her pup to the vet makes me go hhhhmmmmmm.... as you know. Anyway, Lacie, if you would please let us know what happened to your pup, I will apologize to you in public for feeling a bit doubtful. In the meantime, I think we should all wait to hear back from her before getting ourselves really worried about this pup.

| Your right and I have wondered a lot about when people get on here and ask for help and we all try and help But we all need to think just because we understand because we have done it befor . Others dont really know what we are saying and we really do need to be more carefull with what we tell people. Just like with the kero syrup and honey no one said just a dab on the lips or gums. and we need to be exact................There have been other things I have read on T too.... like once someone said their dogs thing was stuck out and the info they got was use boiled water in a spray bottle and spray the dog. well we need to say let the boiled water cool and put into a spray bottle. When someone is scared and gets into a panic they really need to have every thing explained to them. sorry to take up this thread with this but I think it is important. I know I got off topic and im sorry for that. |

| Just wondering....my vet and many of the local vets (here in AR) have emergency numbers that are listed on their machine, when you call after hours. Some vets have their personal pager/home, so they can come in (HIGH price, but can be worth it) and almost all have an emergency hospital or clinic number listed......anyone in LA have a vet with their emergency number posted? I know if anything happens to my little guy, the first thing I do is call the vet! Sometimes, it is not needed, but I am not taken that chance....ever! I agree with all of you all....the vet or emergency clinic should have been called asap! Also, when I first had a small dog, one of the first things the vet told me about was NutriCal and talked about other products and even gave me brochures on things that can happen to these smaller babies....he also gave me a brochure on a local emergency clinic. Did most of your vets do the same? I am just wondering, how/why she wasn't aware of NutriCal or some other form of supplements. I wish she was more informed from the beginning! And YES we, as members, are suppose to be here for each other regardless of the post/question asked. We are here to give support and our opinions, but in a nice manner. I too ran into a big fuss after I asked a simple question on the idea of using my little guy as a stud, boy, did I have a mess on my hands....luckily, I was just looking for information (not really considering, but wanted to know more) and some members were nice enough to PM me with respectful and appropriate remarks/answers. Believe me....there is nothing worse then asking a simple question, trying to get information/to be well educated on the topic (which is better than jumping into something serious without having a clue what you are doing) and then being "yelled" at by fellow members! After all, that is way we all joined to ask and find answer and to give support when needed.

| OK let's all take a deep breath!! I really did not mean to start any trouble here. I just think we all need to remain calm until Lacie gets back to us. Let's all just think happy thoughts for the pup's welfare, and be nice to each other. My apologies for meddling. And LeeAnn, I think YOU are a sweetie pie too!!
