Just wondering....my vet and many of the local vets (here in AR) have emergency numbers that are listed on their machine, when you call after hours. Some vets have their personal pager/home, so they can come in (HIGH price, but can be worth it) and almost all have an emergency hospital or clinic number listed......anyone in LA have a vet with their emergency number posted?
I know if anything happens to my little guy, the first thing I do is call the vet! Sometimes, it is not needed, but I am not taken that chance....ever! I agree with all of you all....the vet or emergency clinic should have been called asap!
Also, when I first had a small dog, one of the first things the vet told me about was NutriCal and talked about other products and even gave me brochures on things that can happen to these smaller babies....he also gave me a brochure on a local emergency clinic. Did most of your vets do the same? I am just wondering, how/why she wasn't aware of NutriCal or some other form of supplements. I wish she was more informed from the beginning!
And YES we, as members, are suppose to be here for each other regardless of the post/question asked. We are here to give support and our opinions, but in a nice manner. I too ran into a big fuss after I asked a simple question on the idea of using my little guy as a stud, boy, did I have a mess on my hands....luckily, I was just looking for information (not really considering, but wanted to know more) and some members were nice enough to PM me with respectful and appropriate remarks/answers. Believe me....there is nothing worse then asking a simple question, trying to get information/to be well educated on the topic (which is better than jumping into something serious without having a clue what you are doing) and then being "yelled" at by fellow members! After all, that is way we all joined to ask and find answer and to give support when needed.
