Surgery bandages off and shocked!

She's a little reluctant to walk without the support of her "stilts" but if I say " let's go check out the chipmunk holes" she's all for it...into the yard we go from one " fake " hole to another ....lol

My only experience is with humans in casts. The skin usually ends up pretty dry and itchy.

Thanks Kristen...it's heartbreaking to see them go thru this ...I'm just glad we found a board certified surgeon who even owns a yorkie himself....
I'm afraid little sister is next. She goes in for X-rays when Zoey goes back in a month.....she so funny...can't keep her nose off Zoey ..in her face and hind legs ...then she gets this " ewwww, ohhhh, yuk! " look on her face that's hysterical!

I think they are like us .. some react to bandages more than others.

How cute...if she is up to chasing chipmunks, she is doing great!

She's going to be hard to keep at a slow pace but it's strict instructions that she can bear weight but not jump or run....and be on a leash when out doors ...
The chipmunk thing was a ploy to get her up and moving and get started ....which it did ....and there were a few holes to explore...that got her moving..
And it was like a discount very! You could see how much straighter her legs move , not the swinging out motion....and SHE could tell .....got all wiggly and WANTED to walk...it's amazing!

I can picture Izzy making that face! Too funny.

Praying for Zoey's follow up to bring good news, and for Izzy's x-rays to bring good news too. I hope she won't have to go through it too.
