| I am probably in the anger phase of grief...I got my little guy that passed away via craigslist and have been unable to contact the breeder due to the phone going straight to VM since the day after I got him. I decided I was going to check craigslist periodically to see if my vets suspicions of him being from a puppy mill are correct and low and behold today, one week after I got him, she made another listing selling 3 more puppies. It is a different phone number than I used to contact her. I have called the police, the local shelter, the humane society, and animal control. All have not returned a call yet. Is there anyone else you can think of to contact? Also, in your experience are they likely to do anything when they only have a craigslist ad and phone number to go off of?! |

| You might contact craigslist and see if they will pull the ad. You could sue in small claims. Stay angry for the pain your baby went through.

| Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Craigslist doesn't track those who post. I have been flagging someone who has been listing the same puppy since Dec. Its a scam, the puppy doesn't even exist but the poster is able to keep placing the ad. After weeks of flagging it, the poster changed photos but continues to post. I hate to say it, but it is unlikely that you will be able to have any recourse for your experience. |

| Sorry for your loss. But take this and use it. After you resolve your issue with the breeder...just learn never buy form a breeder who is willing to sell at 8weeks and never buy from a breeder if you can't see their living conditions and the Dam. Just more research before buying. You want to spend your hard earn money by supporting good breeders and receiving a healthy puppy. Not these Craiglist ppl |

| I think it is good to at least try to have her pulled from Craig's List. What a horrible person to neglect these poor creatures and then sell them to people who have to watch them suffer. At least you did right by the little guy once you had him. I'm sorry that you had to go through this. |

| So sorry for that poor puppy, sounds like he never had a chance. Does TX have puppy lemon laws and laws against selling dogs under 8 weeks old, many states do. If this was me, I would have someone call this so called breeder from a different number and pretend they want to buy a puppy, get her to meet up in a place busy like in front of pet smart or petco. I would then go there with a bunch of people (several men) perhaps people from groups against puppy mills. Bring your vet bills. Depending on the TX laws you could perhaps get a policeman or animal control officer to meet you there. Have people take pictures of her, have someone watch her car when she drives up and get her lic. plate number, you can use that to get her contact info to take her to small claims court and find out what type of place she is running. Did she give you a contract, if so she could be liable for what was on that, especially if she made stuff up. Use your anger to stop her and to try to recoup some of your money. BTW how much did you pay for the dog??

| I thought I would update. I arranged for my little sister to meet the breeder. I hid and took pictures of her and her vehicle. I did a license plate look up and found out her name and address. I looked at the address via Google Earth and she has 4 sheds on the property. Not a good sign. I had to see for myself so I went there on Monday. She lives out in the country, I could hear the puppies barking from a metal shed in the back corner of the property. I contacted the supervisor with animal control for that county. I emailed her all of the information I have and they are supposed to be going out today to take a look. |

| so glad you did something, did you find out if there are puppy lemon laws, also did she give you a contract, and how much did the puppy cost? I can't imagine how hot it must be in TX to keep dogs in metal sheds.

| There are no puppy lemon laws. I paid $350. Unpapered around here the males go on average $300-600. I did not get a contract! I know I did everything about as wrong as I could have. First time, HUGE learning experience. I wish I had found this website prior but at the same time I hope I gave my little guy the love and treatment he needed during his las week. Texas as a whole seems to have very lax breeder laws. Thankfully the county she lives in is pretty strict on domesticated animal laws! |

| check this thread out, who knows her pup could be from the same person you bought your pup from, if you find a few other people that bought sick pups from the person you did, this might help get her shut down and some of your money back. There are strength in numbers http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...3463-help.html
