Just now seeing this and felt a lurch in my heart when I first read it. No - not sweet Lilah Charm - sick!!! I was scared to read your post and then it didn't seem so bad so I kept reading and am so glad to find out maybe it's just a Yorkie thing - iffy tummy after eating something new. Can't tell you how many times I've been down that rode with Jilly and then Tibbe, who are distantly related and both had no end of GI distresses. Thank goodness it sounds like Lilah will be alright and should be back to her normal self within a few days. She's blessed to have a caring AND responsible mommie who will see to it that she has only the best of care the moment she needs it should any symptoms recur. But hopefully she's seen the last of her tummy troubles and will be back to herself, feeling tiptop, in no time.

Tibbe was very concerned to read all of this and sends max hugs to lovely Lilah Charm.

No vomiting resumed! I think we are in the clear it was such a treat to wake up to my sweet little girl ready to be my 'first thing in the morning fetch the squeaky ball' buddy, whew! We will go in for a re check tomorrow morning and see where her weight is at (that was a huge loss for such a little girl!) thank you all so much for your well wishes

Jeanie, I thought of you and little Tibbe when I put quotes around 'just' gastroenteritis. Lilah has been four pounds six ounces without fail since she was about one year old. Every single weigh in, consistent, consistent. I think she's a little too skinny for her frame and have discussed it at many vet visits. To have those six ounces fall off my baby so quickly...first the check in lady said 3.9 and my jaw dropped. I said "no, that's wrong. Please check her on the baby scale in the back, that's wrong". She did and came up with four pounds even. That would be like me losing 25 pounds overnight! I about keeled over! By the end of it though and buying that GI special food i thought man, this is what people with dogs who have gi issues are going through? This was tragic feeling to me and so intense and scary, having to go to the doggy hospital and get fluids?! and that was with Pedialyte from my fingertips and little scoops of wet food on a spoon. Oh horror.

Lilah has had rabbit throughout her life as we raise it but my goodness that was a bit much for such a tiny girl and she got some special new treats too that I may have given her more than Normal of cause we were doing a lot of photos recently....rabbit, beef, duck oh my! And on top of that, we always free feed but recently it has been more like six small meals a day because despite my best efforts we have ants that are directly after miss Lilahs food. Changing our feeding style I am sure was an influencing factor as well. Tell you what, that won't happen again! poor little babe. She is snuggled up next to me right now and it is so great to see her shiny eyes and enthusiastic personality right back to normal, I am very grateful thank you all again so much.

Hee hee hee, Donna- she loves her treats and will resume having some after I am sure we are in the clear. My human children also love treats and with them and Lilah I am absolutely responsible (for them until they reach the age of independent decision making and for Lilah, forever) to ensure that they have treats at a reasonable rate without allowing unhealthy indulgences and while keeping a balanced diet. I failed to be diligent with miss Lilahs treat consumption and instead was being indulgent and spoiling (which I am much less likely to do with my human kids, lol) and then my beloved followed suit and the rabbit pushed her over the edge! you sent lovely, High quality treats that Lilah adores and I will do my part to ensure I allocate them appropriately thank you for everything. I hope you are/had a fabulous time on your trip!!! Hugs!

This is good news, yay! I so hope she continues to feel good. It's so scary and sad when they're feeling sick. HUGS to you both!

Oh I'm really sorry to hear this about Lilah. Its so hard to watch your little baby not feeling well. At least you are right on top of it and got her immediate vet care. Sunni and I are sending good thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.
