| ![]() Those meds and strict rest are good (very small kennel is best). I am really concerned for you and your pup though. When they go lame on both back legs it is usually a disc (which your vet confirmed). Cord compression never truly heals, even with meds. When it is this severe, the longer your pup can't walk the more likely she never will. This is why it is an emergency. Vets tend to send these cases to neurology on an extremely urgent basis. If you choose to wait it out, watch for incontinence or inability to poop and urine overflow (she may not be able to pee on her own..it will just come out when she gets full and would need to have her bladder expressed several times daily). It depends on which discs and nerves are affected. Please don't use any alternatives treatments until you see a heurologist.

| ![]() The K laser is not widely accepted as a treatment for a dog that is not walking. The dog needs a neurologist.

| ![]() Any time there is inflammation, injury or surgery the K-laser promotes heeling. The K-laser is used in sports medicine for athletes all of the time to get the athletes back on the field ASAP. K-laser is also wonderful for arthritis. I have lots of experience with the K-Laser for myself my family & my pets & it is the best Laser out there for any kind of injury. When used immediately after surgery it cuts heeling time nearly in half. My Uncle had Polio as a child & is now in his 80's & has suffered from spine & neck pain all his life due to the Polio, he had K-laser last year & said he feels better & it has helped him better then any other treatment he's ever had. It's also used on Race Horses regularly fore lameness & injuries to the legs & spine & neck. So Yes the K-Laser is used for any kind of spine injury or any other injury. The faster you get rid of inflammation the faster you recover. |

| ![]() Libby is better this morning. She only lost the use of one leg - her rear left leg. She can stand and walk a few steps. She couldn't do that yesterday. I'm feeding her a little bit of shredded chicken with her meds. That seems to work. I have the weekend off. So I will be right here with her. |
