And this could just be IBD . Easily treated. :) Inflammatory Bowel Disease |
Oh No ! . . .sending good thoughts to you both. I really hope it is just IBD. It can be treated easily |
Just checking in....how is Couver today? |
Sending thoughts and prayers your way. I hope Couver is feeling better. Susan |
Couver woke up 3 times last night and had dry heaves. He didn't eat much yesterday because he was at the vet all day and I started the wet gastro food last night. He loves the wet food, but I gave him a small serving with his second round of meds because I wanted him to keep it down. Poor guy is so thin. He's at 6.8 pounds. The meds have to be spaced out 2 hours each, so it is going to be an interesting week getting all of his medicine into him. Luckily only one is is pill form. He does not take pills very well. I'm hoping the meds start to work and he can feel better soon... I will update when I find out more from his xrays. |
Poor thing - Hope he feels better soon! I hate when they are sick! |
I'm hoping Couver starts to feel better today, poor baby. It's great that he wants to eat. |
Hope the meds work for Couver. Poor guy. :( Get well soon Couver! |
Keeping him in my prayers |
Poor baby. Hope he feels better soon. |
Keeping you both in my prayers |
Thinking of Couver tonight and hope the meds are giving him some relief! |
We hope Couver is doing better. That sounds like what Sissy had last fall. Vomiting and diarrhea, wouldn't eat, lost weight. Ended up being Giardia. She spent several days in the hospital. The vet thinks she picked it up at the dog park. |
Hoping your little guy is feeling well tonight and hoping you get answers soon. These little ones sure can keep us worried! Be well little Couver! |
dog Oh I am praying for little Couver to feel better soon. If he eats this food, it will be good for him. I try to feed Spud some every 4-5 hours to keep food in his tummy. He is so much better. May Couver heal from this and be a little champ for getting through this tough time! |
I hope Couver gets back to himself soon! It's SO worrisome to see them like that. I have stressed myself out before only to have it be no big deal so *crosses fingers* that's the case for Couver. |
I'm sorry that I missed that Couver has been sick until now. Poor baby I hope he's on the mend now :( |
Couver made it most of the day and kept things down until just a few minutes ago. He just puked twice and lost a lot of liquid. Poor guy just can't catch a break! I start to think he's feeling better, and then he pukes again :( I hope we can get the vomiting to stop soon... He's never been this sick before  |
Perhaps you should go for an internal med consult? |
I'm worried about Couver. I hope that he feels better soon. |
Sending lots of love to you and Couver x |
Keeping Couver in my thoughts and hoping he recovers soon. |
Just checking in on Couver and continuing to keep him in my thoughts and prayers. |
He did not puke again after his bout last night. I am hoping we can go 24 hours without a vomiting episode. Keeping up with his meds is proving to be a task. He has two that he has to take twice daily and another that he takes once. All of them have to be separated by 2 hours and he either has to have an empty belly or food with them. I'm thinking I need to make a chart so that I can keep better track of what order I am giving them. |
Poor Couver.... we are all so worried about him. It can be stressful on you, getting the meds and feeding coordinated, and I think a chart is a good idea. I sure hope he starts improving and that the vets are able to identify exactly what the problem is. How much does Couver weigh? Has he lost weight during this illness? Keeping him in my prayers. |
Poor Couver, lots of thoughts and prayers here for both of you. Jezebel had a bought of vomiting and diarrhea and few months back (after hours, of course) and I took her to the emergency vet. They ended up giving her metronidazole, something to help settle her stomach, sub-q fluids, prescription food, and forti-flora. Maybe you can add some add in some probiotic to keep the intestinal flora in balance, the antibiotic can throw that off. |

Is he on Cerenia 8 mg. for nausea and vomiting? That always stops Tibbe's N&V. |
Hope he starts feeling better soon. So sad when they are sick and you can't figure out why and fix it quick. |
Wow just reading this. I am so sorry that your baby is ill. I hope that you get some answers soon. |
