The amylase shouldn't be an issue but good to ask. The BUN being up would not concern me with the 0.7 creatinine. But ask anyway. I would not like the continued vomiting, if it was him who vomited. And I would like to see his albumin higher even though it's in range.

Hope it was not Couver who was sick.
Did the vet get the Lipase value?
Praying that Couver is ok.

Pancreatitis.....liver diseases .......I see those a lot and I wonder why????
It is something we are feeding our babies????
When I was little... we can't afford dry food.... we were feeding our dogs leftovers.... and they lived long and healthy lives.... just a thought ....:)

Anakywdas. I wonder the same thing. Years ago dogs where only fed scraps of the table and they lived long lives. Makes me wonder too My last dog lived to be 16 and he ate food from the grocery store and table scraps.

I have a six month old yorkie lady and am considering getting another one later in the year. If you don't mind me asking, is it very hard to have more than one. I already have a jack russell and a rottweiller and the three dogs are big friends. However Scarlett is my first yorkie and she is so loving, good, clever and entertaining, that I would love to have another. I am 72, but not an old 72. We have a large house and she sleeps on our bed and goes all over everywhere except food shops with me. The jack russell sleeps on the bed too and the rottie in a large bed at the foot of ours. Our dogs are really spoilt, but I would so love another one.

I am very happy to hear that Couver's repeat labs returned great news.

Hoping you haven't found any more vomit. So frustrating when you don't know who did what (I have that problem with just 2).

Has Couver been doing any head rubbing, rubbing his body up against the furniture, acting lethargic, refusing food?

Couver hasn't had any of these symptoms. He's wanting to play fetch, eating all of his food and is his normal self. I am hoping to not see anymore vomit :(

That's good to hear. Maybe he just ate something he shouldn't have or got some type of infection in his GI system that caused gastroenteritis, which can seem to last forever. Hopefully he's done with this.

Elsy has problems with HGE especially if I have to be gone from her too long and she gets stressed (dad's just not the same). I keep her meds on hand just in case she starts to get sick after the vet has closed or on the weekend. I try to nip it in the bud and so far so good. No stays at the vet - only a few visits for an injection of cerenia and one when she needed sub-q fluids. (My vets are available 24/7 for emergency calls and always available to help me and would send me to the emergency clinic if they thought Elsy needed to go) She is on the rx low fat gastrointestinal food and in the last three weeks I've started giving her very small pieces of steamed carrots for a treat. No other food or treats. Maybe your vet will give you some meds to have on hand in case Couver has a problem after office hours. Hope he's feeling better. These little angels can get sick so fast.

Depends on the food. I know many ppl whos dogs die with diabetes from to much salt ,seasoning ect.. And it depends on the dog also. Some are just hardier breeds. Yorkies are not one of them ime
