| I have used boiled boneless chic. cutlets with rice, also 90% fat free chop meat, boil and mash the chop meat as it is cooking, pour off the water, I then put the chop meat on paper towels to absorb any small amount of fat there may be, mix with rice, this has always helped my pups when they had diarrhea. My vet has never suggested turkey. Also cottage cheese mixed with rice, mixed up the cottage cheese while it's in the container as the liquid always settles on the top, so mix it well, then add a couple of TBSP to the rice and mix well. Chic., boiled chop meat and cottage cheese has always worked for me, may not work for every pup due to their digestive systems.

| Yorkie Yakker | Thanks so much for your help. I threw out the turkey mix and went with chicken, yorkiemom1 is right, no turkey. I had other pup at vet today for checkup and they asked about Snickers while I was there I mentioned I had been giving turkey rice & pumpkin.... ((But switched to chicken rice and pumpkin) They said NO TURKEY... Give chicken or beef mix. Something about gastric issues after much turkey can develope into a problem. So even tho it was working it's not a good idea. Thank you YorkieMom1 for giving me a heads up |
