| FiFi is sick and Mom is scared 2 death!! Fioanna is 3 yrs old and has never had any health issues...until yesterday. She had her normal boiled chicken dinner and a normal eve however I noticed her a little shaky and making a slight panting noise. I picked her up and she groans slightly. Her ears are not up, she is laying in her bed and chasing lizards is not important. I noticed that she has not pooped in a day so I gave her a little kayro syrup- no change (no poop) however she does get "normal" for a bit and her tail wags, ears up and has ate what I gave her (not wanting to give her to much incase of blockage). Should I try more kayro syrup? I realize that taking her to the vet is the best choice but I'm hoping it'll pass as our vet fund is empty. :,( Thank You MILLIONS for ANY help available, I'm EXTREMELY worried! | HI and welcome to yt. I understand your fund may be empty but I would not mess around...can you do a payment plan or do you have care credit? if she has a blockage no amount of waiting will do you any good. Did she eat anything to your knowledge that would cause a blockage? Pumpkin is more helpful for constipation than kayro syrup I believe. I hope every thing is ok with Fioanna.

| Thank You Thank You. Yes, I completely agree and will take her ASAP. Sadly I've never known a vet in my area who would except payments as that would help greatly. No, there is nothing that she could have got into that would hurt her. Her stomach does not look abnormal, a tad hard but nothing bad but she grunts a little when I pick her up. I've been rubbing her belly in hopes that it would help. I will def try the pumpkin but ultimately think I will make my husband take us to the vet when he gets in. Thanks Again!! Dora |

| Certainly keep a close eye on her today and be prepared to go to the vet if things worsen. You can feed her some canned pumpkin plain/not the pie filling with spices added. It is good for both constipation and diarrhea. Check her bottom and make sure she doesn't have poo stuck or dried on there, which also causes distress as you described. Is she scooting her bottom, which could indicate anal gland problem?
