| ASPCA poison control/Home Again chip membership Did you know that if you have the Home Again microchip membership, a call to the ASPCA poison control center is paid by Home Again? Our scenario - Last night I was giving our Sentinel doses. Bodie inhaled his pill but Cissy spit hers out (unusual). Bodie & I are both right there and he beat me to Cissy's dose. I immediately tried getting it out of his mouth but he had already swallowed it. I immediately called Poison Control. When I was asked if I was familiar with the fees, I told them no but please don't take the time to explain. Just talk to the vet and give me instructions asap & I'll give you my card info. At this point $$ was not my concern, it was all about Bodie. After putting me on hold, he came back to give me the vet's instructions but to my surprise he told me that since Bodie has the Home Again chip/membership, Home Again would pay the $$ due to the poison control center. I'm assuming he got our information by checking by name since I hadn't mentioned our chip info. At the time, I didn't think to ask. I just thought I would share for those that are like me and didn't know. *our little emergency worked out fine and I am so thankful I took them all off of that horrible Triflexis. I could have seen this situation having a much different outcome*

| I didn't know this...is this for members that pay HA annual fee? Or for all HA members? Why were we not notified of this IDK. Glad Bodie is ok, I think they have that info in the sentinel site. I remember reading it in their faq's page...

I'm not sure about your membership question & the aspca fee but I do pay the annual HA fee. It's well worth the $18/yr to me.

| Thanks for the info. My Lollie has the Homeagain chip and I subscribe to the annual service @ $18. Just knowing that we had that protection while at dog shows was well worth it and now that she's retired, well, what's $18.00 per year. I just went to the Homeagain site and sure enough - we have 24/7 access to an ASPCA vet. Of course this doesn't negate the need to contact Dr. Amy for emergencies, but it sure can help determine IF a situation is truly an emergency. |

| I'm getting Ripley micro chipped when she is spayed (2 more months). Are all micro chips on an annual fee? What does it cover? I haven't talked to my vet about what kind of chip he implants, I didn't know there were different kinds - so I'm a little in the dark about this.

I hope I didn't imply that I used this service instead of our vet. Our vet was closed for the day and the poison control center just assured me that ours was not an emergency clinic situation unless I felt things worsened.
