Default ASPCA poison control/Home Again chip membership

Did you know that if you have the Home Again microchip membership, a call to the ASPCA poison control center is paid by Home Again?

Our scenario - Last night I was giving our Sentinel doses. Bodie inhaled his pill but Cissy spit hers out (unusual). Bodie & I are both right there and he beat me to Cissy's dose. I immediately tried getting it out of his mouth but he had already swallowed it.

I immediately called Poison Control. When I was asked if I was familiar with the fees, I told them no but please don't take the time to explain. Just talk to the vet and give me instructions asap & I'll give you my card info. At this point $$ was not my concern, it was all about Bodie.

After putting me on hold, he came back to give me the vet's instructions but to my surprise he told me that since Bodie has the Home Again chip/membership, Home Again would pay the $$ due to the poison control center.

I'm assuming he got our information by checking by name since I hadn't mentioned our chip info. At the time, I didn't think to ask.

I just thought I would share for those that are like me and didn't know.

*our little emergency worked out fine and I am so thankful I took them all off of that horrible Triflexis. I could have seen this situation having a much different outcome*
