Do you remember the video, you probably posted it, of a dog who was trained to jump into the homemade "high chair" like contraption to eat and drink? The contraption enabled the dog to stand up and have his head at the right angle to eat and drink. The dog was amazing the way he would go in and flip the bar down that acted like a counter for him to put his paws on.

I think he had to stay in it for awhile to make sure his food and water went down.

That is a chair for mega esophagus. She really does not need that because she can keep food down .. and actually some water. She will get more water by being held upright for only 15 - 30 seconds. But...yes, that video is adorable...the pup clearly knows that is where he goes to eat!

Alright apparently there is a chiropractor vet here in the GTA that has some success with this condition. I can get more details if you like.

What Tootsie has is ectasia of the upper esophageal sphincter. They may have heard of it, but it is extremely rare is what I was told.

Just read Lovey's story which led me to look at YHR 's website which made me wonder- how many fosters do you have?? lol
How is Tootsie doing? Did any of these suggestions work or help? She seems like a sweetie pie.

They are not all my fosters. Some of us mentor members and have their fosters under our email. BUT, I do have my hands full. Not much rest, that's for sure.

Tootsie is having other issues now with a high urine output. She had a urine culture done that showed a UTI but the antibiotics have not cleared it up. She has an appointment to return to the vet for follow up.

And, yes, Tootsie is a little doll.

Poor Tootsie. Praying the doctor will find the right thing to clear up the UTI.

Linda, do you keep a spreadsheet for who needs what and when? I had to have a notepad just to keep track of Max's 4x daily eyedrops, sigh.

At times I do. Depends on how many are taking meds. The ones who take the same meds all of the time are easy to commit to memory. It is when I start getting new stuff for different ones that it can be confusing.
