| Hills or Royal Canin VET DIETS which one is best? Teddy's specialist has phoned and said his Pancreas results were a little high, and the urine culture was fine, and his cortisol is down to the low 240's so he is not too concerned about that, he says Teddy will need to go on a vet diet for Gut and Panaceas problems, EITHER: Hills ID low fat diet, or ROYAL CANIN Gastro Intestinal LOW FAT .... I have never been a lover of Vet prescription diets, and when I read the ingredients a lot of it is corn and fillers, BUT I have seen some good reports too from owners, so I have to decide which is best Hills or Royal Canin, ANY ONE KNOW PLEASE. As he has pancreas problems and has colitis at the moment. I am in the UK so can't get the wonderful USA foods you use.

| Either one is fine. I have never had a problem with RX foods. Don't make yourself crazy reading the ingredients....if your pup is sick and needs these foods, they could save her life!

| We did cook chicken and rice, you in the USA are amazing and clever at hand cooking for your babies, but in the UK we aren't as good at it, and don't have the same things available, when we cooked the chicken and rice it was awful for him having to wait for it, he is fed 4 x small meals a day so it isn't really practical to do long term, sadly. I was only saying to my husband in the past 1/2 hour how good they are in the USA for hand cooking.

| The best one is the one your pup does best on. I'd try RC first. Their LF food has the lowest fat % commercially available.

Anyone know which is better dry or wet ?

I have used RC diets for over 25 years...never had to feed Rx diets.....but RC has served me well for many years. If you have been told this by a knowledgable vet, please do as he suggests and select one of the diets he has suggested. I have heard of excellent outcomes for pups on either of these Rx diets. | |

Teddy VERY ILL today, not vomiting since 4am, we need the vet asap, he may have to go in on a drip we are so so so scared and upset, as he HATES being at the vets, he was in a special vet hospital on Wed night last week, and came home this ill, with the stress kicking off this colitis, and now pancreatitis, we are so worried he won't make it
