What a mix of ups and down emotions. I am so sorry about this recent diagnosis :( Keep your chin up and continue to have faith. Please remember how lucky Cassie is to have you be her advocate and mommy. If it weren't for you she would already not be with us. I'll continue praying for her. You and Cassie have been in my thoughts every day these last few weeks. Through all the highs & lows I care about what is going on in your lives. It's so sad to hear the latest news, but also I have hopes you may have another good year or two together. Cassie has a lot of fans rooting for her health. Well this wasn't exactly what I wanted to read when I logged on tonight, but I am an optimist and I believe Cassie will survive this. Viagra huh? Interesting concept, it does make sense. Put your faith in your holistic vet though, get her started as soon as you possibly can. Please believe me when I say how very much I care, I'll pray hard for her...we will see you through this, you are not and will never be alone. Wipe away those tears, be strong for her...we've come too far to give up now. I'm sure she knows how much you love her, she has to feel the power of that love, she's got the spirit...she will win. My thoughts and prayers will continue, you can bet on that. |

I did research on the internet and found a similar situation from two years ago-a five year old Yorkie Male diagnosed with severe right sided pulmonary hypertension, Normal is 20 and this Yorkie was 97, Cassie is 96. Cardiologist also says to treat with Viagra. This pup also has Cushing Disease. States cannot undo the damage to the heart, but can possibly contain the damage by starting the Viagra. The compounding pharmacy called today-the prescription is ready so I will go to pick up. Cassie very lethargic and poor eating. Not saying she wont' take a lick or two, but I have yet to see much of an appetite. She is supposed to eat at least two ounces of food a day, she only took a couple of clicks this morning of berbers baby food chicken, and a little canned salmon, maybe two licks, and a tiny bit of lf string cheese. Seems weak and lethargic. I go see Tamera (my holistic Vet) tomorrow. Trying to be brave!!! The homeopathic meds she gave me for stress and PTSD seems to be working. Will keep you posted. |
