I'm praying for your precious girl. I'm so sorry to hear this news but am also hopeful that the Viagra and the holistic vet will be able to help her. You are such a good and loving mommy to Cassie.....such devotion.

I check in a couple of times a day to see how Cassie and you are doing. Yes,there is always hope. I keep you both in my prayer and wish for you peace and strength to be able to walk this path.

Pulmonary hypertension is definitely treated with viagra. We had one with YHR this past year. They do respond to viagra .. hopefully she will do well on it. I am sorry you have received such a grim diagnosis.
Some pups. in spite of such things, go on for longer periods of time than expected. YHR has a pup with cardio issues who was given 3 months in December 2012.....and he is doing well.

Our holistic Vet does not believe her condition is as dire as the cardiologist states. She thinks the results were greatly exaggerated and she feels that if we could do an ultrasound in our house with me beside her, we would get a whole different reading. Don't know how much this mobile Vet thing costs, but I am looking into it. She feels that the trauma that she endured just a week before (fighting for her life) we took her in for the echo, had an effect on her blood pressure.

Taking her back to the same place, and taking her from me, was traumatic in itself for her, she states. She is still on the Viagra, although our Vet says it is unnecessary. I am starting her on goats milk per our Vet, as her appetite still is terrible.

Shellie you know you have my continued prayers for your sweet girl, looking so precious in her stroller by the way. Sure wish she wasn't going through all this, but I believe she is a tough little cookie...and she's gonna win this one.

Thank you so much Kathy for your continued and unfailing faith, love and support and all the rest of my Yorkie Talk Angels-constant in your heart felt love, concern and total willingness to give to others who are suffering, even though I know you all have your very own trials and tribulations to contend with.

As you all know, words cannot express the true depth of feelings and love I feel for each and every one of you, although we have never actually met in the physical. Sometimes I feel closer to you than I do to my own family, as they are not in tune with the animal kingdom, and cannot understand the extreme distress and devastation we feel when our little ones are ill or in a life threatening situation. They feel, as my aunt expressed the other day, "stop making yourself sick over this, if she goes, you'll just get yourself another dog!" I cannot tell you the extreme distress I felt over this comment-I felt ill, and like I wanted yo throw up. She made me sicker than I was before. She really did not mean to hurt me, but she did. To me it was like saying, don't fret too much if your child dies, you can always have another, or you can always adopt! Now of course I know that a dog is not a child-but to some of us like me, we love them like they were our children.
A lot of people don't understand that.

But you all do!

And to just add to my day, I was with my 90 yo father all day in the ER as he was leaning his whole torso to the right and they say he had a small stroke! Thank god it wasn't a life altering event, but still a big pile of stress.

I am sorry you are going through all this. I am Praying still for sweet Cassie & for you & your Father. Cassie sure doesn't look stressed in her stroller she looks very sweet & content.
