| I'm just started reading this! So glad Cassie is much better! Having lost my own baby in May and not knowing how to get through it this forum was certainly there for me during that time. Big hugs!

| Thankfully you caught that mistake how frightening. I hope your Dad is feeling better today as well, my Mom has dementia and falls a lot so I know how frightening that can be. Best wishes to you all for a wonderful calm weekend.

| Update Cassie doing well in the breathing dept, but not eating very much. Very picky. Yesterday went well at holistic Vet-She got ozone Learning how to give shots-I'm such a klutz-This will be the fourth try Yesterday I practiced on a small stuffed animal. Today they shaved a little piece of her hair so I could see the exposed skin and where to put the needle. They also gave me the smallest tiniest needle they have-and I had one successful try on Cassie herself. If all goes well tonight-I take home 4 doses, enough for 2 days before I have to go back for another 2 days worth of shots- Wish me luck! I so much want to be able to do this for her! Love Shellie |

| Glad you are giving the injections a try. Hang in there, you'll get better each time you do it. It made me so nervous my hands would shake but after awhile it got better.

| Aw! You can do it! It's probably more comfortable for her having it done at home by you....

| So happy Cassie is still doing well. Good luck with the shots, I know it is difficult. I used to have to give my Schnauzer daily shots for 6 months for allergy desensitization, and I never got really comfortable with it. I had someone hold him, and I'd pull up some skin and stick him; but I'm sure he felt my squeemishness more than any actual pain.

| Donating YT 500 Club Member | So glad to read how good Cassie is doing!! And you will get those injections down pat. I had to give my GSD, Julia, allergy shots every month for years. I honestly think she looked forward to them because that is the only time she would get a slice of American Cheese. You can do it, girl. I know you can. Hugs!!

| Consider it, the injections, one more way of showing Cassie just how much you love her. I know in my heart that you can and will do this....be confident...it's ok to be a little frightened, but I know you want to be able to do this, so you will. Hope she gets her appetite back, she needs to build up her strength and immune system. I wish you luck and her well...

| Thanks all for the good wishes and confidence building encouragement. I was in fact able to do this tonight, even though I did get a horrendous muscle spasm in my side, and felt dizzy afterward (LOL) :-) I think I 'm in worse shape than SHE is :-) It was difficult for me, and awkward trying to reposition the needle so I could push the entire amount of liquid through, without moving the needle or poking it through the other side of her skin, but I was able to do it. So they say I will get the hang of it, so I'm trying to believe them. Cassie was very squirmy for me, so I hope I can do this home alone. Anyway, thanks for your confidence in me. I will try very hard not to disappoint you, or Cassie. Much Love, Shellie |

| I, too, gave one of my Rainbow Bridge babies allergy desensitization serums. It will get easier. I'm proud of you. Your love and commitment to Cassie is very beautiful. |
