Julia is gorgeous!! So glad the vet appointment went well and that this nasty wound is healing!! :)

Aw thanks for posting her picture! She is gorgeous!!! And she is lucky to have such a loving, caring mommy and dad taking care of her.

I don't mean this in a bad way....but out of the 3 babies to have gotten bit, I think she is the only one who could have survived due to her size. She weighs 64 lbs, Bella our rat terrier weighs around 12 lbs, and little Jasper only weighs 3.5 lbs. I will just be so glad when DH is off of work to spray the yard and around the house one more time for the year. This has been very nerve racking. I may actually be able to sleep tonight. Lol :p

Where was her bite located? I was just curious and don't remember if you said. Teddy's was on the back meaty part of his leg. Being such a little guy...well 17 lbs. I was really afraid the infection would eat through his flesh and possibly infect the bone in his leg. I don't even know if that is possible but I was going crazy worrying about the possibilities.

Thank you, Linda! I think she is gorgeous...but then I'm kind of partial to her. :D

I am SO glad the vet appt went well, too!! Hopefully, it will look so much better in a couple of days.However, he did say that she may actually loose some dead cells. So we will see. I'm still going to try the tea bag and see if that will help, too.

I hear ya! Will you let me know what he is going to spray? I want to do the same but i dont know what would work well for spiders.

Thank you so much for your thoughts, prayers and concerns. She seems to be doing so much better. She has been sleeping a lot today. But I think its because she hasn't slept much the last couple of days and nights. I know this because I jumped everytime she made a move. :D I bet we both sleep tonight. Lol

Her bite was almost in her front left armpit. But not in the pit. So it was in a meaty part, too! She is definitely feeling better this afternoon. Back into her routine of barking at anyone or animal that walks by the house. Or if she hears the school bus driver or UPS truck, etc., etc. HAHA :D


DH said he will get the exact name of what he bought. It's made by Bayer though. It's in a blue bottle sold at Lowes and Home Depot. It kills all of the insects. I'll have the exact name for you in a day or so. But he sprays it every Spring and Fall. He is actually going to be spraying it a little early this Fall. The insects are just too bad this year.


I'm SO happy we missed what could have turned out to be a whole lot worse. It's not exactly in a spot you can just see. But we are constantly rubbing, scratching and just loving on our babies that we know if something feels off on their bodies right away. Ya know what I mean?

We think she is gorgeous! She has a beautiful coat and loves to be brushed. We do that on the front porch and the yard looks like it has snowed after we are done. Lol Her disposition is awesome and always has been. You would never know that she is about to turn 12 this fall would you? :)
