Donating YT 500 Club Member | Julia has a spider bite??? Julia, our German Shepherd, got up this morning with what looks like a spider bite. DH just left taking her to the vet. After looking up pictures of brown recluse bites we are afraid that is what it may be. She is 11 years old and an indoor dog. But, she is a daddy's girl. He was out working in the yard all day yesterday and we think that is when she was bitten. Please say a prayer for our sweet, sweet Julia. Thanks to everyone who reads this.

| Sending positive vibes to Julia I just saw a television show about the brown recluse last night. I know their bites can be serious. I hope she recovers quickly. Please keep us posted!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Thank you, Teresiana! DH just called because he knows I'm worried sick and said they are shaving around the wound to get a better look. But, yes, I will keep you posted.

| I hope Julia is feeling OK and they get her on meds to get that bite healed....I DETEST spiders....absolutely terrified of them. Saw something on TV last evening where some lady called 911 because there was a hugh spder on her couch....she was terrified and could not kill the thing, so she needed someone to come out to kill the thing....my brother was appalled..."Who would be silly enough to call 911 over a spider????" WELL, HELLO!!!!! That would be ME!!!! It just makes my skin crawl, thinking about that nasty spider BITING Julia..... |

| Praying Julia is going to be okay. Those spider bites can be so nasty. Poor girl. I'm like Judy - hate spiders now that I know the damage some of their bites create. Ugh - plus they are creepy to look at.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | The vet shaved around the area to get a better look. I was shocked at how large the area is with red hot fever. Julia doesn't have a fever. Thank goodness. Of course, the vet could not say what bit her. But there are 2 fang marks. She is taking 2 anti-biotics...1oral and the other we spray on the wound 3 times a day. She keeps licking the area. So we pick up a cone for her in the morning. Thanks for the prayers. I ask that you contunie to pray. She is almost 12 years old. I just don't want anything to happen to her. I hate all things that crawl especially SPIDERS!! And one bit my sweet girl! So ready for summer to be over.

| Glad to know she's doing okay In the documentary I was watching last night, a man who had gotten bitten by the brown recluse looked like he had some kind of flesh eating disease. Within just a few hours! That's one of the reasons I got so worried when I saw your post. I'll keep Julia in my prayers for a speedy recovery. I have an 11 year old Lab so I know how concerning it is when something happens to them. Feel better, Julia!!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | She seems to be okay. She has mainly just slept a lot today. Which isn't unusual for her at all. It pretty much looks the same today, too. The site hasn't gotten any bigger. But where the fang marks were looks like a tiny, scooped out area. I'm so scared its going to be like that show you watched. Please keep praying for her. Thank you so much! Just having someone to listen about these type of issues helps me to stay grounded and not freak out. Do you understand what I mean?

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Thank you,Linda! Ive never had a pet bitten by a spider before. And she is going to be 12 this fall. I'm so glad we don't let Jasper out in the yard. I don't even want to think of the possibilities if it had been him instead. Don't get me wrong....I'm worried to death about my girl. But the wound site is just so big...ugh
