Btw, what did the Ophth prescribe, anything different? Wylie has dry eye and his Opth likes Optimmune -- it does wonders for Wylie's dry eye...his area around his eye is like night and day in terms of being irritated.
I've had blepharities and it sorta feels like you have crap in your eyes and can't get rid of it...it's really annoying, rather than painful at all. I had to use these eyewash pads that I got from walgreens -- they work really well in case you're interested. |
Yes! Vet Ophths are awesome, it was a great experience. She is currently prescribed BNP- H ointment and Tacrolimus .03% solution. I know the solution is the tear stimulant which stays refrigerated and the ointment is the steroid.
Curious to see what she thinks when we go back in 4 weeks. And if she will be on something for life. I would be interested in the eye wash pads if there is nothing in them. Right now I have to do warm/cool compresses to her eyes so it would be nice to find something sterile. I have been using washcloths but I personally would like something disposable one time use. Mainly to keep any bacteria away from the eye. And I don't want to add any other solutions to her eyes. I am going to stick to what the Dr. recommends at this point. But if they are solution free or if you have any ideas for sterile compresses I will look into them!
