| ![]() It does not sound like pain....from your description, it sounds like she just hates that collar. If you are right by her I would leave it off...BUT sometimes just leaving it on no matter how they protest will help them get used to it. Is it a soft collar or hard one? The hard one that looks like a lamp shade seems to bother them more. How is she doing today?

YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() My prayers for Zoe. Make her as comfortable as possible. I have seen soft collars at the pet store now. I hated those cone things. Imagine having your head in that all day. I would keep close contact with the vet and report any problems. I am praying she will get better with rest and food. Give her some boiled chicken if that is ok. Something she likes. Little bites. |

| ![]() Zoey is doing great! She is actually acting like her FIESTY self again. I took the soft collar off because she was so miserable and once it came off her entire demeanor changed. It really didn't make much sense because I thought that was to keep them from licking the incision and she can't even reach it. She will do more damage with scratching it with her hind leg. I'm literally by her side 24/7 because she wants to run around and play with Niko (her 10 months old yorkie brother). She doesn't act like she's in any pain but I did put a shirt on her to protect the incision from the surgery and where they had the chest tube. Her entire left side is shaved poor thing it looks a little scary but again she is back to trying to chew her bone and growling at Niko! Ha they are to cute together! Thanks again for your concern and support we will keep you all updated!!!!!!
