The good news was when she was gradually taken off after 9 months, things went back to normal and have stayed normal for the past 4 years. Hope the same happens for your little one.

| Quote: Ollie has been on Atopica 25mg one tablet every day and 2 prednisone 5mg every day with September 26 being 4 weeks. I am only showing te spots that he has which is way better than it was in April. I haven't posted because there hasn't been much change other than I think the Atopica is making him a rolled burrito, changed his hair color and makes him weak in the legs. He has gained weight and always seems swollen. We have our good and bad days. The days where he seems to struggle to hop on something or just hates to be petted still just breaks my heart.

| I feel so bad that Ollie is still having problems. I hope and pray it is soon gone and he can feel great again.

| Aww, sorry things are not improving much. Your description of Ollie reminded me of Piccolo's appearance, when she was on prednisone for an extended period of time. My sister-in-law even said she looked like a totally different dog. The vet did say that it made things loose and she could easily damage her leg during that time. Also, she turned close to white. Hang in there and prayers for your little guy.

| Its been a while since I have posted about Ollie so wanted to check in. 11/7 was our 4th week with NO medication. Our old spots have not got any better or worse. We do not have any new ones. His color is coming back , that Atopica changed his color from black to gray. Since we have been on NO meds, he is back to slim n trim, NO swelling. He is active and the poor Poppers cannot get enough loves. He is my OLD Ollie. The dermvet was at a loss as to what to do and was going to put him on a food trial. I opted not to do that as she had already told me it wasn't a food allergy. Paws crossed that we continue on this path of not breaking out. We can live with the spots we have. He gets a head to tail check out every other day. thank you for all your suggestions, good thoughts and prayers. I will always love YorkieTalk for the wealth of knowledge that you can get here!!

| Wonderful news! I know a couple of people who have had great success with Atopica in their pups. So glad Ollie is doing well.
