				   | I noticed a twinge of blood in Darla's stool. She's been inside me home ever since i got her with the exception of the vet visit and a couple of car rides. She's still active and happy. I did change her wet food last night from the can puppy food to a all natural wet food "Deli Fresh". Could the little blood in her stool be from the change in diet? What did i do wrong? |

				   | It could be from anything. Not necessarily anything you did. Is it dark blood or bright red? Any sign of blood I would contact my vet to be on the safe side.

				   | How old is your baby? Has it been bloody only once? Here is an article by a vet you could read. Tails of Seattle | Veterinary Q&A: Bloody diarrhea in dogs -- Part 1 | Seattle Times Newspaper. It states any blood should be examined by a vet.

				   | If it was just a spot of blood, I would just monitor her stools and see if it happens again. Max had a tiny spot a couple of times when he ate weeds, maple tree seeds, or something else that must have caused an irritation. Any more blood, I agree with contacting your vet.

				   | A twinge of blood is normally not a big deal. If you saw a blade of grass, it could be that the grass put a tiny cut in her intestines. She also could have been a bit stressed and had a bit of colitis. I agree with the others (and am sure your vet will say the same thing) who advised you to watch her and take her in if there is more blood.

				   | The vet wants me to bring in a stool sample for them to look at and check. It could be the change in food, her eating some weeds or grass outside. But to monitor her poops and if it becomes worse to bring her in right away. |

				   | Its possible. I gave her only a little sliver of the wet mixed with a little kibble with some water. |
