| ![]() We have the same problem with our 2 year old shih tzu Oliver. His count was over 100. We had him on three medications for a month and his last test came back perfect. They still don't know what caused this and they say they may never know. He might just have a bad liver. To make things worse Oliver has juvinile cataracts and they couldn't do the surgery until his liver problem was solved. Now he's sceduled for surery in a week. The vet said that he probably has to be tested at least twice a year to make sure his count stays down. |

| ![]() Sorry it's been so long! Thanks for all your support we appreciate it! So the latest news is that there is no news.... We have run bat (slightly elevated) geriatric panel (slightly elevated) ultrasound ( no signs of shunts or enlargements or anything...) stool samples ( clear) and lastly for now a GI panel ( normal) All the while he still hasn't gained an ounces since I got him at 4 months 6 months ago.... He eats, drinks and conducts his daily business meetings and is an active mischievous puppy! Am I taking this too far? Should I keep going to find an answer or just leave it for now and wait and see how he does in the next 6 months.... My goodness. His vet bills have been crazy and we haven't even done his neuter yet! ( planned for next month probably) Oh my little Toby boy! |
