We have the same problem with our 2 year old shih tzu Oliver. His count was over 100. We had him on three medications for a month and his last test came back perfect. They still don't know what caused this and they say they may never know. He might just have a bad liver. To make things worse Oliver has juvinile cataracts and they couldn't do the surgery until his liver problem was solved. Now he's sceduled for surery in a week. The vet said that he probably has to be tested at least twice a year to make sure his count stays down.
