| Oh dear Lord!! My heart is aching for you right now. I am so terribly sorry. Don't blame yourself like that. You did not know. Our neighbor had a sego palm and he had a Vizsla. I mentioned to him about the dangers of that palm and he got rid of it. Now I always keep my eyes open to see if anyone else has a sego palm and a dog. I will let them know how poisionus that palm is. It's my nosy duty!

Bless you for for taking a moment to inform others of the danger of this plant. Again, you have my deepest condolences.

| Thats good to know the houseplant is less of a threat. I wanted to get a larger outdoor one to put by my pond but am thinking on it. It would be behind by my waterfall on a retaining wall and the yorkies dont go back there. Oh well Im just thinking about it

| Mine would be in a container so I would bring it in in the winter. Its a 5 yr old plant so its big but not huge and I imagine if i kept it in the container it would only get so big. It would look perfect in the area I would put it in that area is bare since its retaining wall behind there. Im just thinking not so sure I want to take the chance but my yorkies arent ones to put things in their mouths even if the birds did spread the seeds

Yes, a pot will keep the size in check too. I’m not sure, but I think you need this pollination cone before you get any seeds. You might want to research that.
