Yeah, that sounds like a safe way to do it, and because there probably aren't others in the neighborhood, it probably wouldn't seed outside either. There are male and female plants and I think a bee has travel to each. It’s been so long since my sex ed class! Yes, a pot will keep the size in check too. I’m not sure, but I think you need this pollination cone before you get any seeds. You might want to research that.
