Praying for you and little George. I have a little boy named Winston who turned 16 on March 7. He does really well for his age. Thinking of both of you. :) |

Keeping George in my prayers. |
George So sorry to hear that poor little George is sick again. Praying the pancreatic mass is not an issue and that he can be treated and made well again. Get well dear George, we are all thinking of you and wishing you well. |
Prayers and hugs for both of you. It just never ends or so it seems at times. :( |
Linda, I will continue to keep George and you in my prayers and thoughts. Sending love and hugs for George to get better soon ... |
I have been up most of the night with awful thunderstorms. My pups are losing it and so am I. I have decided to wait until my vet opens and take George there for an exam. She can do all but the U/S and quite frankly, if it IS the mass on the pancreas, I am not going to be treating him for that. The specialist already told me that if it is cancer, the prognosis is grim. We would be treating symptoms only. I will see what my vet can find and take it from there. If she does not come up with anything, then I will reschedule him. It is not an emergency .. if it were, I would not hesitate. Not worth getting on the Houston highways during rush hour with storms...these people don\'t drive well in good weather. All I can say is thank God it does not snow but once in a blue moon. I will update later with what my vet finds. Thanks everyone for your concern. |
George Praying for you too. What a night, a sick George and a stressed family of scared pups. You do not need this and I feel for you. Whatever happens at the vet this morning I am thinking of you and poor brave George. Hang in there. |
Praying for George... |
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers! I just got home....George has lost weight again. This, coupled with his icky stools, has my vet thinking it could be EPI or SIBO. He did have some bacteria in his stool, so we will continue metronidazole and she is adding Amoxicillin. Tomorrow I am to fast him and take him back for a GI Panel that will be sent to the GI Lab at Texas A&M. I should add that his appetite is good and he is alert...in no real distress at this point. |
George Thanks for the update, but still more tests for the poor boy! Lets hope a complete diagnosis means he can be treated and made to feel better. It seems the two diseases you mentioned are a consequence of his existing pancreas problems? At least he appears to be comfortable and eating, even if the food is not being absorbed too well. It is so sad to see our little ones who are sick, they are so long suffering and don\'t complain. Hope you are taking time out to take care of your health issues!!??! Good luck tomorrow and get well soon boy George. Prayers. |
Yes, this is probably all related to the pancreas. I certainly would rather have it be one of these as opposed to pancreatic cancer. My vet does not think it is cancer...he has absolutely no discomfort. Hopefully we will have an answer in a couple of days. |
Hoping it is not cancer. George is lucky to have you. You are doing everything you can for him. Praying they can get it under control and get him feeling better. |
